Noida-Agra-Firozabad-Etawah-Auraiya-Akbarpur-Rania-Sachendi-Kanpur City Bypass (25 kms)-Ramadevi-Jajmau Overpass(Under construction by 2013 is 5 kms)-Salman Plains (Shuklaganj near Jajmau)-Banthar-Unnao Bypass(5 kms)-Ajgain-Nawabganj-Amausi-Lucknow is best route of 4 lanes,6 lanes, 8 lanes and 12 lanes.

In Kanpur Metropolitan Areas it covers areas of Akbarpur to Unnao whose length is 80 kms.

The shortest route from Noida to Lucknow is 454 Kms via NH 91 + UP SH 40. Noida - Dadri - Bulandshere - Aligarh - Etah - Kannauj - Bangarmau - Mohan - Lucknow. Take NH 91 from NOIDA EXT till Kannauj and Bilhaur. Before Bilhaur you will get the UP SH 40 intersection to cross Ganga and continue to Bangarmau, Mohan and then Lucknow.

Alternatively you may choose Yammuna Expressways + NH 2 + NH 25 which is 556 KMS long and good condition. Route: NOIDA - Greater Noida - Tundla - Etawah - Kanpur - Lucknow. This help you skipp the rush in Faridabad and Agra. Avoid crossing Kanpur during peak hours. It is a complete mess.

Above suggestions are good to take NH 2 till Kanpur and then NH 25 to Lucknow which is about 560 kms. NH 28 is the direct highway connecting Lucknow to Delhi is about 499 Kms from Noida to Lucknow.

Difficult to get train reservations to LKO even when there are about 16-18 good trains on this route.

Hi, the shortest rout from Noida to Lucknow is via Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Barielly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur. But I will suggest you to take via Agra, Kanpur route. The latter is express way and much better road. You just need to step your foot on the gas pedal and then drive in your own speed without hitting the brakes frequently

Shortest route is NH24 but is presently badly damaged, it is better to go via the undernoted route:

The road is super fine although it is longer by 60 Kms

Shortest route is NH-24, via Ghaziabad, Muradabad, Bareily, kanpur and Lucknow.

But even if you have to travel more 50-60 KM more distance if you travel to Lucknow via NH-2 ie via Agra, Mathura, kanpur, Lucknow you will reach at least 2 hours earlier than travelling on NH-24 due to good condition of NH-2 in comparison to NH-24

If by road the shortest route Mr. Vijay has already explained; otherwise trains are well connected as well. Any train from Delhi going towards Lucknow; they are in plenty
