If you leave really early in the morning (eg. 5 a.m.), and have a vehicle at your disposal, it is possible to go from Andheri to Shirdi and Shani Shingnapur, and back, within 20 hrs (Back by abt 12:00 midnight, or 1 in the night) with good darshan at both places.

It will be a hurried trip, though, so no time for really long lunches, etc. :)

I just want to share my experience at SS. I have visited SS twice. On my first visit, I observed the doorless buildings everywhere. All private, govt, commercial buildings etc didnot had any doors. Even ladies toilet was doorless. (Eventhough I am male), I purposely went there and checkedup. The ladies public toilet was doorless. But don't worry, there was enough privacy.

So, I thought that SS was the land of Satya Harishchandras, where there are no bad people and only good people live there.

On my second visit to SS, I went along with my family. I was tempted to do the rituals there because of my opinion about that place. (Generally I visit temples only as a tourist and not as a devotee). But even at SS, the shopkeepers tried to cheat me!!. I realised that in the early stage and was able to curtail the losses to aound Rs 700 only.

So be careful, there are cheats (in the name of God), everywhere, including at Shani Singanapur.

Hi Prakash,
Shani Shingnapur is a very small place with a shani mandir as its only tourist attraction.
So i wont suggest staying there overnight.
Its roughly 200Km from Andheri.
If you are considering 2 day outing, may I suggest going to shirdi. Its again roughly 60km from Shani Shingnapur.
Do write back about your experience.
Cheers
