Where we can plan 2 breaks between the journey?

Dear Tarnish

You opt for NH2 instead of NH91, the road is good and you need not to worry about that. If you drive at a speed of 60 km/hr, it will take you 7-8 hrs.

Well in case you are planning to come to Kanpur by road from Delhi than I will suggest you to pick the route via AGRA as the roads are really very smooth and four lanes. Though it may be a little long but fast and in case you plan to travel no-stop you can reach Kanpur in 10 hours. By rail the distance is 440 kms. which may be around 500 kms via Agra, by road.
There are many places in between and as well in Kanpur to break and stay. For further details you can check-out with travelers guide available in net.
Best of luck for a safe journey and feel free to contact for any further details.

Hi,
As every one has said, though a little longer than NH91, NH2 is the best option with you I've charted a route map for you HERE. You may check it out.

Hi Tarnish,

Adding to the answers you have already got, please do take NH2. It is a very good and safe highway.

The stops can be planned at Mathura/Vrindavan and Agra, as suggested. There is a McDonald on the way near Mathura and a lot of good dhabas all the way.

The total time it should take ranges largely on the amount of time you stop and your driving choices. I have taken that route both to and fro Kanpur - Delhi and have covered in 6.5 hrs also once. It also depends where you are starting from in Delhi. I would also suggest starting in early hours so you avoid traffic in city.

Once you hit Kanpur outskirts, please be wary of the by-pass flyover and not take it if you want to enter Kanpur city, as it will take you right across the city on the Allahbad highway.

Hope this clears all your doubts :) Have a pleasant journey, drive safe.

And yes, you can always avoid the road and take a train. You have trains almost every hour every day...

Hi,

Road conditions are not too good. Unless absolute necessary, please avoid travel by car. It will take around 8 hours.
