Everything is fine over there. also for driving alone.

Not enough hotels so please have booking in advance. Try to avoid pinewood as it is far away from Lansdowne.

Hi, The ppl who have commented have commented n guided you very well. Honda City is ok for teh destination. A pair of woolen is enuff, camera is must, if you have laptop n pendrive that wud be best so that if your camera is full you have empty it in your lappy. Wonderful scenes all over, quite place and good people all around. Retreat Anand(the jungle resort) would be best for you as i have stayed in all hotels-resorts during my 10 different visit to Lansdowne. Dont expect five star services in any of hte hotel in lansdowne as the chefs and stewards havent passed out hotel management courses and if they do so they wud be working in Metros. isnt it? And adventure to such destination itself means that the person is ready to sacrifice the 5star luxuries and step in to the shoes of mother nature and bother about the sights rather than luxuries? nu for Retreat Anand resort is09411350659(contact kuldeep-i guess he is manager or owner?) Have a gret fun!!!!!! (ruppuin@yahoo.co.in is my id)

Hi, as for the roads are concerned, they should be ok provided rains would not have played havoc. In general the road is good.

Weather: It is better to carry light woolens a jacket should do. You may need it early morning and evenings.

Hotels: As there are not many hotels, it makes sense to book early. GMVN has two properties there you may try that. We stayed at Retreat Anand, it's beautiful though a bit away from the town. You can take your car right up to the resort but the road leading up to the resort will be the ultimate test of your driving skills. If you love peace and a whole lot of space to run around this can be a good fit. Just a note of caution, don't set high expectations from the resort. Though the staff is good and food is nice too but you may find upkeep of the resort not up to the mark.

Two nights should be more than sufficient. Drive safe have fun!

One warm clothing would be preferred for morning and evening nip in the air.

Condition of roads is ok for Honda City.

According to my experience, Bluepine Resort is the best place to stay and enjoy view of the valley. It is always better to make advance bookings at popular places. The bookings can be made on telephoe nos. 01386-263086, 01386-263088 or by fax 01386-263047. Bookings can also be made in Delhi by calling 9999785999/9990785999 (Mr. Gagan).

2 nights are enough.

Mid week driving is fine. Just try to leave early in the morning.

Take camera if photography interests you.
