Hi Avishek,
I completely agree with Rupakrana. If you a planning for a hurricane tour of Delhi, the best thing would be to take one of the Delhi sightseeing tours. You will start in the morning and they will drop you back in the the evening and will show you alomost everything. It will be a hactic one but you cannot do anything better in one day.

Dear Abhishek,

I agree with Amit Bharti, depending upon your interests, he has given you sufficient choices, however I would stress that do visit Akshardham Mandir in the evening and don't miss the musical fountain program and for Shopping Ambience Mall (Gurgaon) & Select City Walk (Saket) are the best ones.

Trip to Agra is also fun. To see Taj Mahal ofcourse. Trip to Jaipur is also fun. These are all 1 day trips from Delhi. You can goto Agra for a day then head to Jaipur and back to Delhi as well. Agra would just have the Taj Mahal as the major attraction while Jaipur would have the beautiful markets/forts etc.
Delhi would offer night life, pubs, and some excellent places to eat @ various price points. While heading to Jaipur, u pass via Gurgaon which is also nice since the place has been done in a hi-tech way.
Auto walas here charge crazy so u need to negotiate a lot. Metro is a safe bet but does not connect to south delhi & gurgaon @ the moment.
Select City Walk & DLH Place & Prominate etc are good malls to visit for a time pass. However pricy when compared to Kolkata.

Hi Abhishek,
There are a lot of places to Visit in and around Delhi.
Trip to Old Delhi (by Metro) is advisable. Depending on where you intend to put up in Delhi, take a Metro to CP - spend some time there @ CP then take a metro to Chandni Chowk. Enjoy Street food, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Kareems (for non veg food).
Other Spots:
- Drive around Delhi for the best pubs & eat out joints here. Khan Market is advised for lunch & deserts @ Big Chill.
Shopping @ Sarojni Nagar, Lajpat Nagar & Palika Bazaar.
Places of interest: Akshardham Temple, India Gate, Qutab Minar.

Note: Qutab Minar, Sarojni Nagar & Lajpat Nagar, South Ex, Dilli Haat etc are all south delhi so can be easily covered in a day.
Enjoy evening @ Qutab Minar

Heat is still bearable @ the moment so you would enjoy.
You can mail me @ bhaskar.deva@gmail.com & we can exchange contact numbers. I put up in South Delhi & I belong to Kolkata myself.
I can try to extend as much help as possible to you...
All the best...Bon voyage

Please plan for a trip as under: You can book a triangular tour - Delhi-Agra-Jaipur for 2 days and one day for Delhi and one day for purchase. In Delhi, you can stay at Hotel swati (www.hotelswati.com) which is in the main business area from where you can move around. For travel, please book through www.panickerstravel.com. (Agra - Monday closed, Delhi- some closed on Monday, Chandni Chowk Market closed on Sunday.
