i return back from badrinath, i find that roads are not sutable for maruti 800 , i will not advice to travel badrinath by maruti 800. the best route is via haridwar rishikesh srinagar chomolli karnprayag joshimath the another route is via bhowali almora kosani gwaldam and karnprag joshimath.
because my experence with maruti800 was horibale thats why i return back from badrinath and cancel my trip for rest of placses.
any way i wants to thanks every body who answer my question.

It would be tough if you attempt to go Jamunatri including other places. Better to to avoid Jamunotri. Hire a sumo for hill side road.

Would not suggest you to do the complete journey on 800. You can go to the nearest towns in each place and then hire jeeps for 1000 RS. badrinath will be the only place i would recommend driving 800. No problems on the route though lots of towns with workshops and petrol pumps.
Would suggest you the dehradoon - musorrie route though as you will be in the hills to stay away from the small city traffic problems.

Hi, I've done parts of this trip a couple of time a few years back on a Maruti 800. The shortest and the most convenient route will be for you to go thru Hardwar (Haridwar). Moradabad to Hardwar will be through the Bijnor - Najibabad route.
I couldn't fig out the 'what will be the right way to travel', I'm writing some tips. Don't put more than 4 people into the car + 1 child. With luggage, it gets really cramped on a long journey. Also have good tyres, this route has a lot of landslides specially in the rains, so also be prepared for stoppages - don't have tight driving schedules. Carry dry fruits & water. Drive safe.

For For Gangotri - Yamunotri the route splits from Rishikesh via Narendra Nagar. On the way to Kedarnath take the route from Rudraprayag. Avoid any 'short-cuts; should people tell you of them, stay away, as most roads will be terrible. Stick to popular well used roads. For Badrinath come back to Rudra Prayag for the via Joshimath. All the best. Write about your trip.

You may also take the Haridwar - Rishikesh route for your trip. In that case you may start by visiting Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in that order, which is what a traveller should do when doing Chardham Yatra.

You may take Najimabad-Kotdwara-Pauri-Srinagar route to start your Chardham Yatra. Kotdwara to Pauri is a scenic hill drive but be careful on the bends you may have to negotiate hairpin bends at times. Kotdwara to Pauri is roughly 100 km and should not taken more than 5 hours. Pauri to Srinagar is 30 km and you should be there in 1 or 1&1/2 hrs. Once in Sringar, you hit the Badrinath road.
