Hi there no doubt pine retreat is the best option to stay and you can find all modern amenities in this hotel but this hotel is not in Lansdowne it is appx 5-8 kms before from Lansdowne. One more thing there is another hotel over there is called anand jungle retreat location wise it is excellent but rooms service and security is not good. Enjoy your stay in lansdowne

Also there's the fairydale cottage a little ahead of the GMVN Rest House.. Old cottage -redone rooms.. goes with the laid-back feel of Lansdowne

Lansdowne is always off season. Its a very laid back place. Having said that - becasue it has only a few places to stay - none of which are to write home about - it is wise to book and go. Its decent for a one time visit.

Pine Retreat is a decent hotel in Lansdowne. If you are looking at a budget hotel then Mayur Hotel provides basic accommodation. GMVN also has a property there, a member has reviewed the GMVN Tourist Bungalow Lansdowne.. Just click at the link. Thanks
