The Moradabad - Tanda - Bazpur route is not recommended as the road is in neglected condition, seacially the Tanda - Bazpur strech(avoid it for next 6 months atleast). You will find big pathholes and road is completely broken there. Tanda is an underprivileged town, that seems to be some 20 years back from normal Indian towns. You can rather take an alternative route of Moradabad - Rampur - Suar - Chaupura - Bazpur, if you do not want to miss Kaladungi - Nainital views.
The road of Kaladungi - Nainital streach is well laid & smooth. I bet you will halt 2-3 times on this strech to take some snaps. A feeling of being in the clouds. Just before you reach Nainital on this strech, you can see Waterfall, Lovers Point, Suicide Point, Khurpataal View.(Otherwise you have to comeback to see these things later)

There are a couple of eating options available at Hapur, Simbhaoli, just before Garhmukteshwar, Gajurula,Rampur and Haldwani. The route given is most suggested route although due to frequent traffic jams, this most travelled route can be avoided by take an alternate route, which is like Delhi-Nizamuddin Bridge-NH24 - continue on to Mordabad bypassing Ghaziabad, Indrapuram and Noida. After Mordabad bypass take u turn towards Mordabad city continue for a km or two and then take a right for Ramnagar/Corbett National Park and continue for another 3-5 km to take diversion for Bazpur and continue for Kaladungi exiting at Kathgodam and continue to Nainital via Jeolikot avoiding Bhowali. Kaladungi route is good for early morning and day drive as the section falls under the Corbett National Park buffer zone tend to be not safe or closed by the forest department in night.

The road is good comparing to other stretches in U.P. But if you're driving in the night, then you have to be very cautious as there is no street light all along the highway. Also, there are couple of unfinished overbridges which cause heavy traffic jam while going. Also, there aren't many dhabas and food joint options as you get along highways across Rajasthan or Punjab. So, better to carry some snacks atleast.
