Just back from Leh-Manali road trip and the only advice I have is to start early no matter what, try n cover maximum distance during the day, avoid night driving at any cost. Leaving early from Leh will help you enjoy more time at Bara Lacha Pass. Jispa is a better option to stay as compared to Sarchu both in terms of stay options and weather wise. Though Sarchu is scenic but may create problems to those with altitude sickness - Diamox tablets may help. There are not many places to eat on this highway, so grab the opportunity the moment you see a place to eat :). |
