A value for money hotel, which is centrally located in South Bombay. Its proximity to a well known hospital makes it easy to find for newcomers to the city. The rooms are very spacious with air conditioning, clean sheets and clean bathrooms. The decor, which is retro has a a charm of its own. The food at the only restaurant is very good as long as one sticks to Continental and North Indian, as the South Indian dishes are fair to middling. The bar is a bit dark but the prices are very reasonable. As it is a no frills hotel so there is no swimming pool, spa and other five star facilities. The staff are very friendly, quite efficent and eager to help. The number of patrons who, in spite of being able to afford five star places, repeatedly come back to the West End, is testimony to how much guests like the place.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, good food at the only restaurant, retro look and very reasonable prices.

Can get a bit noisy at times when tour groups check in or out. The immediate surroundings are rather crowded.

This is a no-frill hotel and had a comfortable stay. You get the charm of staying in an “old” hotel which is right in the heart of South Bombay.

The location of the hotel.

The road outside the hotel is very dirty, especially late in the night.

While it may not be the best address in town, this is a hotel that offers all the basics for a very reasonable price in city where so many hotels are so very expensive. Situated in the heart of town, it offers good clean spacious rooms, clean sheets, clean toilets, a good restaurant and a middling bar. The decor and furniture are retro and the staff are friendly. I have been visiting on and off for the last 12 years and have no serious complaints.

basic comforts, cleanness, friendly service, decent food, reasonable tariff

Conditioners are a bit noisy

Surely needs a facelift. It needs to look more presentable considering its excellent location and very good service.

A good hotel to stay, if you have no other choice. It is always avaialble when the good ones are sold out.
