The calmly & discreetly, situated amidst the pleasantly serene roads of chinnakannal about 20 kms distance from the munnar town, the sterling resorts is a wonderfully relaxing place for the vacationers. the resort has almost all the basic amenities that every vacationer would necessarily require.. I mean lovely rooms best suited for small / big families and the honey-mooners, safe deposit lockers, library, banquet hall, indoor games, kiddies club & kiddies outdoor play area, conference hall, shopping mall etc.
The munnar sterling resort is situated in idukki district (kerala) roughly about 20 kms from the munnar town. The resort has quite an easy access by road and the travelers could use auto-rickshaws or a taxi.
the best aspect of the hotel our family loved was the restaurant named “aanai para” which serves tasty aappam-stew, chakka pradaman and many other variety of kerala food. especially the puttu & kolambu are exceptionally tasty and worth for our money!
every room has a hall with television, double or single bedrooms, kitchen well equipped with hot-plate, pressure cooker, crockery, knife, plates etc. we cooked our food sometimes by ourselves.. (and saved some money for more of sight seeing??!!).
if you wish to be indoors to enjoy the stay and relax yourself, you also have the option of hiring dvd player from the resort management. the resort also arranges cheap sight-seeing tours (half-day or full-day) and you would be informed about the same on daily basis over interc
The only difficulty we faced in the resort in our family room was right from the day we stepped into the room, the geyser was not working properly in one of the washrooms. though we had two washrooms, since we were a bigger family it was unmanageable. every time they repaired the water-heater, again it would stop working and we had to call the room service, which did spoil our holiday mood at times! moreover, our stay was pretty long for about 10 days and it’s not so easy compromising on such things you see! other than this, we hardly had any problem…
