Sagar holiday resort is your usual economy hotels. It has a very good view of the second largest valley view in the world from all rooms. All rooms come with private terraces which offer the valley view. The service is satisfactory. The food is nice (veggie). Not sure about non-veg though. Price is ok.
It's located on a hilltop overlooking a breathtaking view of a beautiful valley. Unlike other "valley views" in ooty which are full of human settlements rather than natural beauty, this one is almost pristine with some scattered villages.
the food was mostly good. Especially the vegetarian stuff. Quantity was good for the price you pay. Staff is courteous and helpful. I liked the "car wash" service. Although, it costs rs 100, it's worth it if your car has been through dusty, rainy, muddy roads on your way in.
Service is ordinary. They didn't provide enough blankets in the "non a/c" rooms. No cleaning of rooms unless you leave you ask for it. The tea served in the restaurant and room is either "mix" or "dip" teas. No local teas available which is rather surprising.
