I was desperately searching for a hotel when we drove down to ooty in the month of mid-july and with the budgets of almost hotels shooting high with basic amenities missing turned the mood bitter. Finally after searching for almost 3 hours, we decided to call up makemytrip. They offered me a good deal and when we finally arrived at the hotel, the deal was worth it. Hotel ponmari residency offered me atleast all the basic amenities with clean environment. Just adjacent to the football stadium and back of botanical garden, the hotel offers a panoramic view. The hotel had various types of room starting from royal economy to royal suite. Though we settled in for royal standard as all the rooms were booked by a group of around 42 foreigners, the room was worth paying the price. The room size was small but interiors were done esthetically. The bathroom were clean and the staff was cooperative. The two days stay was comfortable.

restaurant - the food was good and freshly prepared
travel desk - the travel desk was very friendly and arranged a luxurious toyota innova for our visit to wellington, tea estate garden, coonoor and couple of other places
Room size - royal standard room was pretty small, though other rooms were of good size.
hotel itself is not very large and does not offer a garden or something green
parking might be a problem because very few parking slots are available.
