The Hotel Grand Palace is a good place to stay in Kodaikanal. It is located 300 metres away from he lake and near BSNL office.The neat and clean reception gives a warm welcome to the guests. The staffs are ready to serve the guests 24X7. The restaurant is ready to welcome a guest even after the scheduled time. Once you are there they would make it sure that you dont skip your dinner. The travel desk is there to suggest the best options for site seeing. They also arrange tour in and around the city. They offer facilities like laundry,doctor on call,car park. They also arrange pick up and drop.

Their hospitality is really praiseworthy. Rooms are good.

WATER FACILITY: Hot water 7.00hrs to 10.00hrs,19.00hrs to 10.00hrs,Yellowish color-not suitable for hand wash also. HYGIENE: Poor Quality of bedsheets torn,smelly blankets.Tissues not provided.Personal Hygiene of staffs, am rather tired of telling the staff from room service that body odor may be a career-limiting issue. Cleaning standards are very poor,frankly closets not brushed ,cleaned at all through out my stay, but i accept chemical was poured in the closet and staff left the room.carpet is cleaned with hard brooms dustying the room. which century are we in??? FOOD: Receipts for breakfast & dinner given promtly. waking me up @ 7.00hrs in my sweet vaccation delivering the receipt.Calling thru telphone twice for breakfast & twice for dinner pressurizing me to come for food.?

The ambience was good and staff was very co-operative.

The breakfast was ok but dinner was really good and delicious.

Rooms were bit small.

For the money charged by the Hotel, service is very poor, room quality is not great.

The hotel is not three star. The view from hotel is not good. Services at hotel is sometime very good and some time not.

Service is good but plan change policy is not good. For example we wanted to reduce our stay to two days from three days and we queried about it at the checkin time and Hotel people informed we will loose one day charges. Loosing 10 to 20 % is ok but lossing 100 % is bad.
