The worsest place I had ever been. It is a shame to call this place a resort. It is nowhere close to a resort. Unclean, untidy rooms and bathrooms. I had to literally bathe in dettol after com ing from this place. The bed & sheets were untidy with stains on them. Bathroom was yuck! Lots of dirt and muck under the bed, sides of the table and sliding door. And yes, the bathroom was a dwelling place for rats and lizards.

The untidiness beats everything...Please be careful..It was a horror..

Please be careful..Dont get fooled like I did. I read few reviews on the net and hoped to enjoy a nice vacation. But I was horrified when I saw the place. I had to put up at that place for one night after which I said a BIG bye..

Superb accomodation, wonderful ambience, excellent quality of food, most hospitable people including the owner Mr.Gupte himself, wonderful activities such as barbeque, night safari, pawankhind visit, sums up the entire story of how Mr.Gupte has been treating his visitors. Room for Complaints- ZERO. You name it and you have it. The owner himself escorts people for tours. His interest and knowledge about the trees, insects, animals, herbs, history..everything is simply amazing. Wonder how one man can handle so many things at one time..superb example of a multitasker. I strongly strongly recommend Hornbill Resort to all those wish to be with nature and get the warmth of homely environment..i bet you wont repent a bit.

Frankly everything about this resort is good. The best part is the thoughtfulness on part of the owner that on an average one person has 4 cups of tea in morning..which was very true..considering the weather, its so thoughtful of someone to even think that we need to provide this basic thing such as tea..that early morning tea was like amrut trust me..resorts promise tea and they give one..but who thinks of providing so much..even the food was not only delicious but complete..not a soul can go hungry in this resort..even kids who normally are fussy about eating will enjoy the food here

zero negatives..and if any worth ignoring amidst hundred positives

Hornbill resort is a very beautiful place. The location is very nice and so are the surrounding areas. The people there are hospitable and the quality of food is very good, so much like home made food. The travel in and around the place is done by the resort staff themselves and that is included in the price you pay to stay and eat.

Fabulous location, the resort is nice and clean, the area is good and gives you a feel of a village. The food is awesome. No hard drinks allowed, which is good when you need a peaceful outing with your family.

There is nothing that I didnt like except that it is a bit of a travel to reach the place. It took us around 3 hours from Pune to reach Amba. The road is a bit dusty and bumpy.
