A very nice comfortable luxury business hotel near the chennai airport. Big spacious rooms, nice well stocked bar, a 24/7 coffee shop and a multi-cuisine restaurant. It is a perfect place to stay for business travellers. Has a wonderful spa and a swimming pool and most of the rooms, overlook the pool. Away from the hustle bustle of the city, it is very close to the airport. Keeping intact the brand of the trident and oberoi hotels, it is a fine property in chennai.

The prompt service, the newly opened spa, variety of food and cuisines was great. The service, like all the oberoi properties, stood a class apart from the other similar hotels.

Although it is mainly for business travellers, but the hotel certainly can have some more recreation facilities for leisure visitors and also business travellers, who want to relax and rejuvenate.

A decent place to stay when in chennai, close to the airport and they do offer decent packages, with cabs and taxis awaiting, for a quick city tour or appointment. if you on business, do check out their packages. You might land up a good deal, especially with some of them having complementary city transport (pickup drop).

Trident chennai is pretty well maintained in terms of infrastructure. Some of the things that i liked were - the signature 'trident' indian namaste with hands folded (which every hotel staffer i met offered to me during the stay). - the swimming pool though small in size offers a decent dip in an idyllic ambiance surrounded by palm trees around. - do try out their seafood restaurant 'samudra'

The breakfast was good. But i think they can improve on the preparation and the variety. they can provide more flexibility on the internet usage policies. I for once though that it was complementary, but they do charge a lot for the packages they offer.

Good place for a short stay.

Trident is not your economy budget hotel, but it is one of the best value for money business class hotels with excellence in all the parameters required for a hotel stay.
