Very good hotel with quality vegetarian food. Neat & Clean. Highly recommended. Only minus that it is at an higher altitude than the market. Difficult for older age people to move around freely without a car. Gabbar dada is car supplier, smartly dressed and very well behaved. Rs 1000/ was charged for whole day sight seeing plus Rs 200/ for Guide (named Amit). Car driver was Bhola another good chap. We also travelled by car to Bilaspur which was fantastic journey through forest. Rs 1800/ was charged.

The hotel is very well located and have good facilities. Since it is run by govt, it has some quality and standard. There are very few hotels in Amarkantak, remaining are dharamsalas. It is better to visit Amarkantak by your own vehicle as local taxis charge 1000 rupees for 6-8 hrs sightseeing and guide charges 200 rupees for a day.

We stayed in air-conditioned tent. The condition of the tent was very good. It had geyser, changing room, television, double bed, phone, night lamp, and table-chair. It was luxury and I found it comfortable.

There is nothing bad about this hotel.

i would definitely recommend this hotel to friends as it is the best available place to stay in while at amarkantak. holiday home is the only place that has a very good restaurant where you get quality food. It is very good value for money. you get a experience of staying in a tent only for Rs. 990/-. The staff warm and friendly and the the rooms were clean and well maintained .
