Exotica Beach Resort - Dive Agar, Shrivardhan

We visited dive agar without any prior booking of any hotels. After reaching dive agar from pune (156 km drive), we drove inside town checking out extirior of different cottages, resorts, wadis. When we reached at the end of road we saw a beach and next to that exotica beach resort. we went into see if the avilability of rooms and manager told us rooms are avilable of two types. 1. Cottage built at little height with a space to sit out 2. Cottage built at normal ground without sitout. we asked about rates for both, we been told 2500/- each day for any of the cottages. We thought of taking a look at the cottage first. After taking a look we felt we may need sitout for morning breakfast or dinner so we opted for first type. it was an odd day thursday and we insisted for discount. He offered 20% on day one but not on friday. We happily accepted it. pros: location ! yes. This place is just next to beach. We love to take a long walk after meals and this place was just right for that

The resort has the beach on its backyard and plenty of greenery in its campus. There are 10 a/c cottages of equal grade in two rows , one row being at a higher attitude and facing sea ( pick this if you have the option). Cottages are not posh but the cosy wooden cottages gave me more comfort than many other luxury hotels elsewhere. Cottage has a french window leading to a sitout with a big tree one can get a glimpse of the sea from the sitout. a cute little restuarant in the middle of a jungle of plants serves decent variety of quality food. ( do not expect too much of variety)

1. Extreme green and blue seperated by twenty metres 2. Cosy wooden cottage that is permeable to the greenery outside 3. It is a "cool" place for nature lovers

1. Mosquitoes too use it as a resort (we were there during monsson) 2. The review is valid for two years only. The infrastructure seem to detoriate. ( may be a monsoon effect) 3. Service quality can be improved.

Well hotel was good, but not as per the expectation.But location wise, it was worth it
