We had visited this hotel exactly two years ago . Location was superb in between tea estates . it was located at bison valley about 7 kms way from main munnar . Weather was fantastic with a little bit of rain . We had stayed in a first floor room with wooden floor . Blankets were provided but not so clean . Room was spacious with wooden furniture’s but not up to the mark . Break fast provided with the tariff was nice . Overall average hotel..

Excellent location

Room maintenance is very poor

I have stayed at hotel oak field during my visit to munnar in september 2007. The hotel is an old property and needs renovation. Oak fields is located around 7 kms from proper munnar . Location is beautiful with the tea plantations which surrounds the hotel . I had found lots of cardamom plantations around the hotel. Restaurant is fantastic with large glass windows .Good food quality . Room service is ok . Staffs were helpful (they had provided some medicine in time too). Suitable for honeymooners as well as families . i’ll love to visit the hotel again & again.

A really good place to stay especially for hineymonners location is around 8 km from city and on top of a hillock which ensures very nice weather and view of the greenery and spices grown around very good hotel staff

Location, hotel staff, service, rooms are neat and tidy with a beautiful view u can walk for hours together without any security concerns in the middle of tea plants

1. It was mentioned that indoor games areavailable there as billiords, table tennis, etc---- but nothing was vailable there. 2.Freezer --- was not avilable in the room. It was provided, when we askedfor the same. 3. Hot water -- it was not available for 24 hrs. It wasjust available in the morning and evening. 4. Room bell -- room bellwas not working. 5. Room service -- it was not available for 24 hrs.Even during working hrs. It was pathetic. Even one water bottle orderwas taking more than 30 min. 6. Staff -- staff was not educated. Evenmost of the guys were not able to speak / understand english or hindi. It was really very very difficult to explain them that what you want.Just like that you are in some other country. 7. Credit card -- creditcard payments were not accepted as there system was faulty from last so many days.

The hotel needs to improve its services big time if it wants to make repeat customers, they had a compulsory buffet in the evening for which they were charging rs 350 per person which i pay for the midnight buffet out here in a 5 star restaurant and the food was awful, hot water comes only for 3 hours and you do not have a menu where you can order food in case you miss the buffet meal which is only served for fixed hours, only thing i want to say is that i felt like i was staying in a hostel rather than a home away from home.
