Hotel maria is actually in kothamangalam, 35min drive from cochin airport, and barely 10-15min drive from thattekadu sanctuary. the best 'from the heart' genuine service we ever experienced, mr joy the gm can put any taj group manager to shame. rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Ac, non ac and suites available from rs 650-2200. Best location for visiting the salim ali sanctuary at thattekad and bhoothanthakettu lake. excellent stopover for visitors going from airport to munnar or thekkady. food was scrumptuous. will definitely return here again.

	The best, most excellent, service ever. mr joy the gm goes out of his way to make you feel like an honoured guest throughout your stay. he personally suggests meals, helped with getting a forest guide for thattekad sanctuary, gave us a lot of local information and so much more. rooms are large and very clean. this is a much better located hotel for visiting thattekad than the fancier resorts. very convenient 35min drive from cochin airport along munnar road.

	No negative experience.
