Really its one of the best experience I had. Though I have visited OOTY around 30 times this visit is very different one because of this resort. For me staying in a hotel in the city wont be a nice one but staying in a resort which is away from the city and has good surronding is my choice always. Sherlock matches and live upto my expectation. Situated 2km from the city, it's a colonial bungalow type. Resort lies in the mountain and before reaching the resort in the way itself it was all of natural scenic view. Our check-in was bit delayed bcoz we reached the resort around 10am itself and then we had a nice breakfast. It has a such a lovely greenish lawn-the best part of the resort.We had excellent two evenings in the resort bcoz of this lawn. Food was really good & service is still better. All are with smiling face & helping attitude.Overall its really an excellent stay and I recommend this resort strongly to all.

TRANSPORTATION:If you don have your own vehicle then its bit tough to go to city & come back. Even dont take auto bcoz the resort is in the mountain so auto should be avoided.Its better to take taxi.NO SEA FOOD: In the non veg they provide only chicken.Mutton & Fish were missing.COFFEE NOT GOOD: In a hill station like OOTY, all like to have COFFEE very much. On both the days COFFEE provided by the resort doesn't taste good

Location of the hotel is fabulous. It is on top of a hill and provides a panoramic view of the valley below. It has a very well maintained garden where you can simply sit the whole day and enjoy the lovely scenery. The house is well maintained with antique furniture trying to capture the mood of the times and the Serlock Holmes theme. Rooms are standard and comfortable. Nothing great but functional. In a hotel like this you generally do not spend too much time in the room and so a standard setup is fine. The food was very good. The hotel people were very courteous and helpful. One point of improvement: There is a small stretch of road from the main road to the hotel porch which is not in a good shape. The hotel should invest in making that strip better.
