Located in Chitkul at an altitude of 3000 mts amsl and surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, this Public Works Department Rest House is open for stay for tourists who book through the XEN’s office at Bhavnagar, Kinnaur which falls enroute Chitkul. Chitkul is at a distance of 255km from Shimla, and 26km from Sangla.
Room Amenities: The HP PWD Rest House, Chitkul has 4 double rooms very nicely furnished with carpeting and having attached bathrooms with hot/cold shower. The two rooms on the first floor also have a sitting area attached.
Dining: The HP PWD Rest House, Chitkul has a kitchen where you can order Indian fare and have it served in your room.

The best accommodation in chitkul..Can be booked at the hp pwd executive engineers office at bhavnagar, kinnaur (falls enroute)
Location: Chitkul is a small village..this structure happens to be 1 of the 3 stone and concrete structures in the whole of Chitkul...

Hotel/Room Condition: the rooms are big..big for a place like Chitkul...we surely got much more than we had expected out of that place.... the bathrooms, we were told, had been redone... and they looked well lit and spacious too..w good plumbing

Food & Beverages: basic Indian fare made to order.... tell the caretaker in the afternoon what you want cooked for dinner from the few options he gives you... but the food sure tastes nice in a place like Chitkul after all the walking that you do....

Facilities: the facilities are at par with all the other hppwd rest houses... and the maintenence is high...

Hotel Service: there's no service as such...just that the rooms you take up are neat and clean leaves enough a good impression on you... the meals can be had at your room, which is what we did, and that can be considered a luxury...

Value for Money: superb value for money....
