It was a beautiful experience, something straight out of the dreams. . Each cottage had one room. The rooms were large and very spacious. Acs were working. Sofas were very comfortable and clean. It was certainly very good value for money. You could sit inthe balcony and watch the tide coming in and going out which incidentally none of the resorts and hotels have. This is the greatest advantage this hotel/resort enjoyed by dint of the fact that it was governemnt run and therefore could bypass a lot of environmental norms applicable to private owners. The lawns were very well maintained with large coconut trees inclined towards the water. The rooms were daily cleaned and towels and sheets changed whenever we wanted infact i would recommend it over and above the private resorts with their fancy rustic huts (very claustrophobic) and not so authentic vodka.
This is what I think about

I liked
Its view of the sea ( not visible from the rooms in any of the resorts). Its cleanliness. Its value for money. Its spacious rooms and generally the openness of the resort. One can apend hours and hpours watching the tide coming in ona full moon night; almost touching the sprays yet not toouching at all. Lying on the hammock ant stargazing.
I didn't like
Its lack of a variety of items on the food menu. All fares were essentially indian (but non spicy) so if you want something different you might have to gp to the other numerous resorts. Generallt food is not a item of great importance anywhere in the havelock islands in the andamans.
