The hotel is at a good location. Very good ambience, has nice, sprawling lawns, a decent size swimming pool, though seems like it's cleaned only once a week (it wasn't cleaned at least in 3 days that we were there), nice clean rooms. The hotel was under renovation. Though the staff is friendly, the room service is pathetic. Food is awesome, we only tried veg. overall value for money, if you don't use room service much.

Lawns, greenery, room cleanliness. Room service was poor, swimming pool wasn't clean.

A value for money. Hotel with all modern amenities, with a royal touch. The rooms were big, and clean. The bath and toilets were clean. The staff was good. I didn't have a meal there, but the snacks and tea, etc. Were good and i suppose the food would be good too. It was value for money for me, i had got this for rs1500 per night, in oct'08. They even arranged a free pick-up from the railway station, and arranged a taxi to move around the city.

Although a bit away from the hustle-bustle of the main city, oriental palace is a good place to stay. It has very good rooms, clean toilets, and the staff was very helpful. Away from the main city, you need to find a auto-rickshaw (for short visits) to go to different parts of the city or hire a taxi for the day.
