We had a fantastic stay at strawbery garden cottage this year in oct 2008. There are 4 cottages designed like the english countryside and the place is owned by rupert and bholi who really took care of us. The cottages are surrounded by hills and apple orchards and the view from the balcony is fabulous. The food is amazing........Rupert and bholi makes sure everything is prepared by them and served hot. Rupert's sticky roast chicken and bholi's apple crumble and cakes are out of the world. If you want a holiday away from the crowds....This is the place........It is still so untouched.......In fact once you stay there it will be difficult to say goodbye........And you will feel like going there for all your holidays.

Loved everything........The view from the balcony.....You can spend hours there..........The food, the people.......Rupert and bholi and the kids were so warm, you didnt want to leave them

Strawberry garden cottages is a property with four individual cottages run by a foreigner and his indian wife- rupert and bholi eugster. It is situated around 17 kms before manali amidst apple orchards and flower garden. A perfect respite from the city life- head for his place only if you have had enough of the chaos, shopping, traffic and are looking for some peace, tranquility, stunning views of the mistry himalayas and brilliantly cooked home food. The property is very new (started only about 3-4 months back) and all the cottages are decorated colorfully and smell delightfully of pine wood. The ground floor has a quaint sitting room with fireplace; dining area and tv room and the first floor houses the bedroom; well appointed bathroom and a verandah offering a non-comparable view of apple orchards and himalayas. Since it is a home run establishment all your needs will be attended to by the eugsters. They also have a pet dog 'dimple' - a naughty brat to keep you company.

The location is incomparable. You have to drive through a winding lane cutting through the mountain, overlooking beas river on one side and surrounded by apple orchards & farms. Food prepared fresh by bholi devi and rupert is simply amazing! the view from all cottages alone is enough to make you extend your stay! Since the location is completel off beat- tourists will have to opt for booking their own vehicles to reach the cottages. Also there is no signage on both ends of the lane so finding the hotel itself is a bit of a challenge. Though rupert patiently took our endless calls to direct us.
