#1 Hotel Review of Madhu Guest House, Sangla

We did a lot of searching on-foot before we reached this place.. this is the kind of accommodation we look for in far off places in the hills.. the guest house is high on maintenance and cleanliness and is very functional. The location is brilliant Location: this guest house is the last in line as one leaves Sangla for Chitkul... some 2 kms from the Sangla bazaar...the place is very peaceful and right across the Baspa river one can see the Himalayan ranges... Hotel/Room Condition: the rooms are simply furnished, are kept clean..and so are the washrooms...the incadescent lighting is a bit dim though...but there's a tube light to brighten things up... Food & Beverages: the food is prepared as per order..though these guys had a pretty elaborate menu, but they said that they go by it only during the peak tourist months of June july when the guest house is mostly full....one good thing was that you could tell the cook how you'd like your food /beverages made and they were eager to make it your way Facilities: very basic... but there was hot/cold shower...most important i guess! the tariff was low..so we weren't expecting a lot Hotel Service: the staff and especially the guy who ran the place were exeptionally warm and eager to please their guests...they had just started with this guest house the previous year and were eager to learn the nick's of the trade Value for Money: excellent value for money.... from all the gest houses we surveyed this was the neatest :) and priced reasonable Review & Ranking by Uriah Heep Rank: 8/10 Detailed Rating Location Rooms Food Facilities Service Value Was this review helpful?
