is a simple and easy way to remember things and recall them as and when you
need. Since you select and set the tags, these
keywords would capture those key things/ descriptions that you would want to
remember an article/ photo by - for example, if you are uploading a photo which
shows you rafting in the Ganges at Rishikesh, you could tag
it as ‘Rafting’, ‘Ganges’ and ‘Rishikesh’
(another person might tag it as
‘white-water’, ‘adventure’, ‘holiday’ for
their use) but no matter as your photo is grouped with other photos tagged the
same and show up in results for searches with those tags.
You may assign multiple tags to an upload. The more
tags you assign to your photos, or travelogues, the more
are their chances of showing up in search results and being both popular and
helpful. |

by logging on to the website with your user-name and password. Click on the
‘Add Photos’ or ‘Add Videos’
link. You can also organize similar photos in an Album. You can upload up to 10
photos and videos at a given time. Click on browse and select the photos/
videos that you want to upload. After you’ve made the selection, add a
title and a short description for a specific photo / video - it really helps.

finally hit the ‘Upload Photos!’/ ‘Upload Videos!’ link |

Why
is my upload going slowly? |

First of all, check the size of the file you’re trying to upload. Heavy
files upload slower and are slow to display when you want friends and family to
view them. Also check if it complies with our ‘size &
dimension’ specifications. If it does not, do some editing on the file to
compress it and reduce its dimensions before continuing with the upload. If
you’re still experiencing slower uploads, or disruptions while uploading,
it probably is a network bottleneck or slowdown on a point between your
computer and Oktatabyebye. This is an ISP-related issue and we’d suggest
you do the following:

Briefly turn off the power to any broadband modems and routers to reset the
network connection.
-
If you connect wirelessly, move your computer closer to the wireless access
point.
-
If you are a regular Firefox user on Windows, make sure Internet Explorer is
not set to ‘Work Offline’ mode.

your Photos &Videos. You can upload Videos upto 10MB, and Photos upto
3MB on Oktatabyebye. The good news - there’s no limit on the

web-friendly by using lighter files, which are faster to upload and easier to
access.

do I need to invite friends/ buddies? |

people to your ‘friends’ network makes it easy for you to stay in
touch with them. You can always invite members or non-members to become your
friends/ buddies using the ‘Invite friends’
link on Oktatabyebye. Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive an
email whenever a friend/ buddy writes a new journal, or posts an album, and
vice versa. What’s more, your friends/ buddies are showcased on your 'Profile'
page for you and fellow travel enthusiasts to easily access their profiles and
journals. When you are looking for friends to join you on a trip, or want to
join friends/ buddies who’ve already posted a trip in the ‘Travel
Buddies’ section on Oktatabyebye. Having
friends and meeting new ones is also very helpful. |

invite non-Oktatabyebye members to join your network. Simply click on the
‘Invite friends’ link, and enter your
friends' email addresses. As each person joins Oktatabyebye, he or she will
automatically be added to your ‘friends’

or a non-member browsing the site. However, if you as a member, send an invite

the invitee for obvious reasons - Just that he might simply not know/ recognise
your display name and might block you as spam!.
Oktatabyebye also likes to keep you updated on the various eye-catching offers
& schemes doing rounds in the travel market. Periodic-mailers are sent to
your email address to keep you informed, however, these mailers originate from
Oktatabyebye and there is no chance of you being spammed by third-party travel
service providers. |

Oktatabyebye to view your page. In case it is a 'Trip invitatation' they will
get an auto-generated login id and password and can logon to view your trip/
page directly. You can alternatively email them the link from any email account
that you have. However, they will be asked to register/ login to the website if
they use a link instead of an invitation.
