 We know Hardwar as a famous place but Rishikesh is also nice place to enjoy.One can go for  weekend tour from Delhi.This place is 26 Km from Hardwar.There are many night and day buses from ISBT and train from NewDelhi and Delhi.Fare is around Rs 100/- to Rs 150/-
Rishikesh is known as "Capital of Meditation and Yoga".It is the gateway of Himalaya. The place have  rush in May for 'Chardham Yatra'.It is is under Uttaranchal state.
In Rishikesh you can stay at 'Panjab Hind Dharamshala' or "Kali Kamli' near Tribeni Ghat or at 'Paramarth Niketan' crossing Ramjhula.You can stay here for three days. Normal charges for one room flat are Rs 75/- to Rs 150/- according to facility and floor.You can have two room flat also.

 In paramarth Niketan there is Ganga Aarti at the bank of River Ganga.Its realy refresh us with fresh air,songs,devotion and purity of that place,
One can visit Neelkanth,Laxman Jhula etc from here.For Neelkanth share jeeps are available.
From Hardwar to rishikesh there are two roads. By share auto you have to go through Rajaji National park and if you have your own vehicle then you can go through Neelkanth rout which offer very calm atmosphere and reach  directly to the opposite side of Ramjhula through little bit uphill experience.If you are lucky then you can see some wild animal in both the route.
On the way back  one can stay at Punjub Hind Dharamshala.It is near Bhimgoda 1km up from Hardwar.Room charges are as per facilities.We paid rs 150/- per day for 3person in one room.walking 2 mins ganga ghat for bathing is available.One side mountain view.Its a calm and quiet place compare to Har-ki-pauri.
Har-ki-Pauri is 5mins by auto from here.It is also believed that Bhim made this tank.The Ganges water flows into this tank.

The canal which is constructed here, diverts the water of the Ganges into the Bhimgoda. One can explore around Bhimgoda Barrage.

One can do trekking,Camping through any agencies.Meditation,Yoga program. can be attended in one of the Ashram mentioned already.

Cooking facilities are there in Paramarth Niketan and some other Ashrams..Utencils no charges.Just outside the Ashram small gas Rs 10/- per day per person is available(pls check out latest rate).Fresh Green vegetables,milk etc are avilaible.One can have food at Ashram also.Famous Chotiwala Restaurants,Ganapati Plaza etc are there. 

 One can go for trek  to Neelkanth.Trek  can be completed within same day.
