I have stayed thrice at HPTDC's hotel, Hotel Chansal. Rooms are for 600 plus taxes, but HP tourism offers discounts in monsoons and winters. Do enquire about the same. The hotel is located just before the main market (a km before on the left side). Rooms are really good and so is the food. I have also stayed at HPTDC's rest house, next to hotel Chansal, and is recommended for groups on a budget. the cook will cook whatever u want, provided you tell him 4-5hrs in advance.
