Jetavana: There are a few places to see in Saravasti and most of them are associated with the Buddha. The prominent among them is the Jetavana, which is a magnificent park. The highlight is the Ananadbodhi Tree, which was brought as a cutting from the Bodhi Tree in Anuradhpura in Sri Lanka, which in turn grew from a sapling of the Original Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya. Angulimala: The dreaded dacoit Angulimal, who used to wear necklace of fingers that were chopped from his victims. One day Lord Buddha met him and he had such a calming effect on the dacoit that he gave up his evil ways. Pakki Kuti is Angulimala’s stupa in Saravasti. Monasteries: There are few Chinese, Tibetan and Thai monasteries, which are a delight to watch. The beautiful among all is the Thai Monastery. The monastery has a huge Buddha statue and is spread over a huge area.
