Kunkeshwar, an important pilgrim spot is also famous for its fine and silver sand beach. Covered with coconut, palm and mango plantations, Kunkeshwar is situated in Devgad Taluka at a distance of 500 km South of Mumbai.
A trip to the scenic tiny village in the Konkan region is mesmerising with the presence of the enchanting Arabian Sea, ancient temples, valiant forts, and sandy beaches. The calm, quiet ambiance of this village attracts many tourists.
The area is famous for Alphanso mango, which is grown here in large number. The mango is exported to Australia, USA, UK, gulf and Asian countries.
A leisurely walk through the 5 km long Kunkeshwar beach across the temple on one side of the hill is a wonderful activity that a one can indulge in. Swimming in the clear blue water is another exciting thing that one can try.
