Go here for: Weekend Breaks, Hills

Salubrious climate, mountains and mist, the smell of flowers and spectacularly rich scenery are just a few of the factors that draw tourists to Yelagiri. Yelagiri is just a 4 hour drive from Chennai or Bangalore and leads to a beautiful and secluded place up in the Ghats. This destination is yet to become as commercial a spot as has other hill stations in this state like Ooty and Kodaikanal. The perfect get-away is ideal for weekend trips and work breaks and can help you unwind from all the stress of a city life.

The road to Yelagiri includes 14 hairpin bends each of which has been named after a famous Tamil poet. The region also constitutes 14 small villages with the tribes indulging in agriculture forestry and horticulture among others. Driving down to this location is hence relatively easy. The small hill station also has sufficient sight-seeing and activities to keep its visitors engaged.

Yelagiri has a number of hotels available for accommodation. Many tourists prefer to stay in resorts such as the Sterling for their ideal locations, scenic views and organization of events for their guests.
