Pataudi, founded by Rajput ruler Pata, is a small village in Haryana at a distance of 60 km from Delhi. Pataudi Palace built by Nawab Ibrahim Ali Khan and designed by Heinz in 1935 is a reminder of the old Raj days with a real royal splendor fragrance to it.

It is today home of the cricket legend Nawab Mansur Ali Khan – better known as Tiger, his wife veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and their actor son Saif Ali Khan.

Pataudi Palace covering an area of 25 acres is now converted into a heritage hotel which is high on the glamour quotient with its luxurious sprawling gardens, old-style spacious rooms. The atmosphere makes one feel like a royal guest at this wonderful palace. One can also visit the Pataudi place for a day trip and enjoy a scrumptious lunch buffet for Rs. 750/-.

It is an ideal weekend getaway from Delhi for not only a couple but also for the entire family to enjoy the peaceful and scenic environ. The pure white heritage hotel with beautiful gardens is full of pictures of Pataudi’s cricket days and his marriage with the famous actress Sharmila Tagore including their children Saif and Soha.
