When Kanakadasa was refused entry into the temple owing to his origins, he went to the back of the temple and prayed to Krishna. It is said that the rear wall of the temple then gave way, and the idol of Krishna turned around for Kanakadasa to see. The wall was eventually built into a window, and was called 'Kanakana Kindi' – Kanaka's hole. People still see the idol of Krishna from this window.
