Sightseeing and Things to do in Tajpur

If you go there having the full time sea in your mind then you will be quite disappointed. The water shifts off during low tide and the only thing left is white muddy sand. If you want to visit the sea, then you will to walk for 5 mins. Its around 1-2 km drive from the resort. One could find a beautiful beach with fir trees and red crabs along the beach. Be sure to go during the high tide. This beach is to relax, and enjoy the beach. You are not likely to have many visitors around except the red crabs and that's the beauty of this beach. Leisurely walks on the beach and picnic in the fir tree plantations. Anything you wish. You can take a local boat & cross on another side which is very popularly known as Mandarmoni.

Plz. dont stay at Tajpur LAKE VIEW RESORT & HOTEL, as its facilities are ousy to say the least. The cotages & rooms are not tip top, with stenchs from the toilets are unbearable. With hordes of flies ,contaminating the food, stomach upset is a free gift. The resort charges exorbitant amount for its packages, but offers poor dishes. Moreover it is located far away from the sea beach. Only saving grace is its outdoor ambience. The hotel people did not have decorum to refund excess amount charged. S.GHOSH, KOLKATA

After bad experience in one of the tajpur hotel, I shifted to Tajpur Nature Camp. It is just what i want. Specially designed tents & spacious cotteges beautiful greenary , is really a gr8 experience for me. It is the nearest one from the beautiful Tajpur Sea beach and the extra ordinary beauty of the lagoon.

At this moment there is only 1 resort: TAJPUR NATURE CAMP – It is a camped property and nearest to the beach & at present there are 6 tented camps but are the best I have found till date in West Bengal. They are building up few concrete camps which will be ready within 2 months. 2 New Hotels are coming up but they are far from the beach.
