Tajpur: Incredibly “ A beach for yourself”. In fact, one may get a feeling of ‘owning’ the beach. Tajpur is one of the most secluded beaches in India. Tajpur beach lies in the Purba Medinipur district of South Bengal, one of the southern districts of West Bengal. It is almost 180 Km from Kolkata. It lies on the Kolkata - Digha route and just 5 Km from Chaulkhola. Tajpur is one of Bengal’s recently discovered tourist destination that lies close to ever-popular Digha and Shankarpur. This beach is slowly becoming popular among the tourists, although the beach here is usually exposed only when the tide ebbs. The casuarina trees, kissed by the gentle breeze at Tajpur are a soothing sight.

During this busy schedules of life, Tajpur ia a place where you can breath your life. The newly found place situated 180 KM from Kolkata where you can find the beauty of Sea. Very suitable place for weekend travels. In Tajpur you can stay at Tajpur Nature Camp. The hotel that gives you a comfortable stay with some great options of fooding. Very well maintained, clean and spacious rooms available here. Prompt Room service made this hotel first choice of Tajpur.

Please dont go to Tajpur for god`s sake. There is no amenity facilities and there is no hotel worth staying operators and agents in kolkata will give inflated and exaggerated details of Tajpur Nature camp but never go there. The mud road is awful the tent they provide is full of deadly insects. We went with ace consortium (who are travel agent near ekdalia evergreen)which charged us 650 rupees for each tent after reaching there we found it out to be a village with few concrete rooms and a tent. The sea beach is some 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel and is awfully dirty smeared with burnt out ash of human remains and wood. Most importantly you shall not get anything important to buy there like beverages food etc. If you go there please pre arrange and get the same collected before reaching there. Shankarpur and mandarmani is far better a place to go.I would rather request people to go to mandarmani than to to tajpur. There is no electricity and only source ofpower is generator driven electricity. Please dont go to tajpur
