Avalanche is about 30km from Ooty and about 130km from Coimbatore on the Manjur Geddai road. It is part of the Kundah Reserve forest area. There are 2 lakes, avalanche and emerald, along with a power house and EB colony. The area is full of lakes meadows shola jungles and plantation forest, streams and clean fresh air.
