Chakrata is one of the most picturesque places I can ever imagine. It is unspoilt, serene, cool, calm and every thing. It is in Dehradoon District and can be approached via: Yamunanagar-Paonta Sahib Saharanpur-Herbertpur Dehradun-Mussoorie. Lush green Hills. They say this place gets some good snowfall every year.

Hi Karnail!! any idea on the road that connects to Himachal via Tiuni... Last winters when i drove past Chakrata the road was being redone with blasting in progress...I tell you..quite a sound those dynamites made...Did you driveon further from Chakrata? for if you did you might be able to help me chalk out my next road-trip :)
