OkTataByebye India Discovered Travelogue Writing Contest is about
your journey and the places you've visited. Your recommendations for things to do,
must visit places, and your treasured moments.
Let your travel experiences flow in the form of a well structured travelogue and
rest assured to win some exciting prizes!
Here is what we expect. A well crafted travelogue between 1500 to 2500 words, one
that details out - when was the journey made, what route was taken, experiences
and information on the places visited, must visit places, things to do there, what
to eat (basically local food to try) and nearby places to visit. Fact File 1: Mentioning
'how to reach there' - by air, rail and road (with driving directions) and Fact
File 2: Detailing out 'accommodation' recommended places to stay with Hotel Name,
Contact Person, Phone and Address.
We are looking for travelogues, which are engaging and informative. Travelogues
that present a feel of the land, people, food, the rituals and culture in general. |

Who can participate?
The contest is open to all the members of the site except the employees of OkTataByebye.com.
How to participate?
Already a member - simply Login; Register and get going. Not a member yet, Sign
Up; Register and write a travelogue.
Writing a travelogue
You can write a travelogue on any of the Indian destination that you’ve visited
and have enough information to cover all the important elements mentioned below.

How you win! |
A panel of judges will go through the week's entries and declare the winner every
Monday.
Top 10% entries (including the winner) of the week will qualify for the final round.
Remaining entries of the week will carry forward to the next week. If suitable entries
are not found for any particular week, no winner shall be declared for that week.
There has to be a minimum of three entries to declare a winner. |

Prizes |
Only one winner will be declared each week depending on the number of entries. The
winner will win a cash voucher of worth Rs. 10,000/
Mega Prize:
1st prize: All paid Holiday Trip to winner's chosen destination. Winner can choose
the destination from the Travelogue Entries in the contest.
2nd prize: Holiday Package to one, whose destination has been selected. |

Terms & Conditions |
|
All entries should be the original work of
the participant.
Entries pertaining to India would be eligible while selecting the winning entry.
All submitted entries will have joint copy
rights of submitter and Oktatabyebye.com.
The contest is not open to the employees of
Oktatabyebye, its promoters and sponsors.
Decisions announced on Oktatabyebye.com will
be final and no requests/complaints will be entertained once
the winners are announced.
Panel of Judges & Site Editors will have the
right to graduate entries on the merit of the travelogue to the Top 10% or Top 40
group (whichever is lower), who will then be contesting for the Mega Prize.
OkTatabyebye.com reserves the right to cancel
or postpone the contest if circumstances demand.
In case of copy right violation or any damage
arising out of content submitted on the site as part of the contest,
the onus for that will be on the participant. Oktatabyebye.com, its promoters, partners
and sponsors won’t be liable for any legal or punitive
action.
Prizes/ awards of either nature Cash or kind
are not interchangeable or transferable.
Any legal initiation will be subject to the
jurisdiction of the New Delhi Courts.
No winner shall be declared if there are less
than 3 travelogues.

Travelogue Contest, participant agrees to be bound by these
terms and conditions.
