How you got interested in Photography?
I always had an interest in Travel Writing and was blessed that I could take this up as a career. Curiously, Photography started out as more of a support to my writings. As time went by, my passion and interest in its intricacies grew. Today, as I continue to learn, I’m happy to confess that photography has me completely under its spell.

How you got interested in Photography?
I was born into the family of photographers, I joke that I was born in the Dark Room, but I never intended to be a photographer. I did CA but realized I won’t be satisfied. So, I tried agriculture, and had I continued that I would be a millionaire. But then one day my father asked why don’t you take care of studio in your free time? So I started coming to the studio and started liking the work. Here I worked a good number of years in the dark room and polished my skills. And soon I realized it is a good profession… and it is indeed.

»   One might say that its a bit offbeat to have someone like Peter help judge this contest, but having been always closely associated with the Advertising faternity, the Publishing faternity and now Blogging,he brings with him a rich exposure to pictures and words and a multitude of personalities, both offline and online,(he's even had a had a few of his pictures published by Outlook Traveller! ). In this contest, he's the reality check, the fresh perspective, the 'new eyes' and yes the wildcard.

How did you get interested in photography?
My father was a keen amateur photographer. I guess I got the bug from him, my parents gave me a Click III for, if I remember right, my fourteenth birthday. I was rationed a small sum of money for film and development. Black and white, I must add; colour was hideously expensive. I think I got one okay print off my first roll. In later years I used a succession of point-and-click automatics (great way to learn the basics of light and composition) and borrowed SLRs. I'm delighted by what you can do with even a cheap digital camera these days, and horribly jealous of the ones who are getting to learn so cheaply.
