Srinagar, a tourist paradise is gateway to some of the most scenic & beautiful places of the Indian subcontinent. The Dal Lake, the Shikara, the Chinar, the snow-laden mountains… everything is incredible, each sight so beautiful that it takes your breath away. No wonder Kashmir is called paradise on earth and thus the famous lines – If there is heaven on earth…it is this it is this it is this…
Located in the heart of Kashmir (Jammu & Kashmir) valley, Srinagar lies on both banks of the Jhelum. The scenery is captivating and the ambience uplifting. It’s one of best places where you can enjoy a retreat with family. The sheer excitement of seeing snow-capped mountains & frozen valley is just enough to motivate the kids for a vacation in Srinagar. Even a boat ride on the Dal Lake or a walk in the Mughal Gardens enthuse both the kids and adults alike.
Srinagar has several gardens which are part of the several such gardens laid by the Mughal emperors across India. The city has its own distinctive blend of cultural heritage. Apart from the splendid natural beauty, Srinagar is also popular with water sports. Water trekking is local name for three to four day trip along the river Jhelum to various lakes in a shikara with camping gear.

Dachigam National Park (22 Kms) and Pahalgam (95 Kms) are popular destinations for hikers, trekkers and people who love fishing. So while your kids can be thrilled with the boat ride, you can rekindle the romance of your married life sitting cozy in the shikara.
