Vacation To Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary!

The countdown had begun for the summer vacation to end for my daughter. She was getting  a little impatienPeahent & asked me whether we are going for any vacation or not. This put me on my toe to plan an impromptu vacation as I didn't want to have the guilt of not taking any break at the right time. Anywayz, a few research here & there & we were off to Sariska. We drove along NH 8 till Dharuhera, turn left and reach Bhiwadi to catch the toll road to Alwar via Tijara.  It took us approximately 5 1/2 hrs as the road to sariska was very bad. We had not done our hotel booking in advance but had done few research on it. We checked in at Tiger Den. The room was average & non-a/c room was much better & bigger then A/c one. The carpet in the A/c room was moist & smelling. The day we chose to go to Sariska, talk was going on of air-dropping Tiger in Sariska. So media people had also parked in the same hotel for covering the event . After having our lunch in the hotel which is buffet lunch, we drove into the jungle.

I never imagined it to be such a beautiful experience for my entire family. It's our first ever vacation in a jungle & it was beautiful. We saw lots of peacock,Deer, Sambhar, chital, Lungoor & all kinds of birds. We also saw peacock dancing in the rain with it's feather wide opened. It was mesmerizing.

We came back in the evening at round 6:30pm to hotel. Its a cool place to spend a day but beyond that their's not much to do in Sariska.  Next day we headed for Jaipur. It was my second visit to Jaipur and I came specially to visit chokhidaani. Chokhidaani was at its cultural best! Rajasthani food & shopping marked the day at Jaipur. Finally we started for Delhi to catch up with regular grind but not before stopping over for some Dhabha food which was yummy too!
