No. of Places you have been to: I have seen almost all the major tourist places in the entire states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. I have also been to many places in Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, J&K, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Great places, you can remember, please name a few: Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra, Gangrel Dam in Chhattisgarh, Moonland in J&K and Adi Kailash Om Parvat Trek in Uttarakhand. Also, my own native place Apsarakonda in Karnataka (it has a beautiful waterfalls and beaches).

Your dream destination: My dream is to see all the major tourist places in India first, and the entire world next.

Best holiday so far: I travel to visit the places and I don't spend/relax during my holidays in any one particular place.

Great places to visit around Bangalore in November: Since the monsoon is coming to an end, the Western Ghats look simply awesome after the rains. There are many trekking destinations (one day and two days) which can be seen. And for a traveller, every road leading out from Bangalore has many tourist places.

  • Hyderabad Road (NH7) has got Nandi Hills, Chikka Tirupati... etc.
  • Kolar/Old Madras Road (NH4) has got Kolar, Antaragange, Mulbagil, KGF and Kotilingeshwara.
  • Hosur Road (NH7) will lead to Tamil Nadu, where in nearby places are Hogenakallu, Tiruvannamalai and Elagiri Hills.
  • Bannerughatta Road (SH) will lead to Bannerughatta National Park and Mutyala Madagu.
  • Kanakapura Road (NH209) will lead to Muttatti, Sangama, Mekedatu and Bhimeshwari Fishing Camp.
  • Mysore Road (SH) will lead to Mysore, Srirangapatna, Shivanasamudra, MM Hills and BR Hills.
  • Magadi Road (SH) will lead Tippagondanahalli and Savanadurga.
  • Mangalore Road (NH48) will lead to Shravanabelagola, Belur and Halebidu
  • Tumkur Road (NH4) will lead to Shivagange, Siddrabetta, Madhugiri and Chitradurga Fort.
  • Hindupur Road (SH) will lead to Ghati Subrahmanya, Vidurashwatha and Lepakshi.

  • I had been to all these places and most of these places can be covered in just one day.

Best food you tasted at:I am not very fond of food.

You use OkTataByebye mainly for: I wanted few travel details, and that's how came across OkTataByebye. But it looks like rather than being a questionner, I will end up becoming an answerer, travel advisor...!

You can’t travel without: My mobile, route maps and travel guide prepared by me.

The best hotel you stayed at: Again, I travel to see the place. Hence 'the best hotel' does not make sense to me. As long as the hotel is neat and clean, it is ok.

Your favourite travel quote: A true traveller does not have a fixed itinerary.

Interests/hobbies: Photography, Travelling, Trekking and Reading.

Travel anecdote: Once I went for a trek to Mattighatta Waterfalls (near Yaana) along with my family members (wife +daughter+son). It is not a popular trekking place. Hence we could find a guide with lot of difficulty. The trek route was one of the most difficult for my family. And at the end, the guide said "Sir, I agreed to guide you because, after seeing your family, I thought you will come back half way through. Had I known that you will be completing the trek, I would not have come as a guide".
